Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Her most famous role is as Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she's directed, produced and performed in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson is the daughter born on January 8th 1977 to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Danielle is her older sister who is an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to the Reform community in Alabama. Benson's career has been booming after the conclusion of Buffy. She was in films such as The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. While behind the lens Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write the Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy says that she has discovered and counted over 1800 Slayers, 500 of whom collaborate with the Scooby Gang.
