Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, raised in Wellington she made her first appearance as Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 as Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for her role as the curious and sociable daughter of Holly Hunter's lead character in The Piano. As a result of a public audition, aged nineteen, she became Flora McGrath - the daughter of the Scottish piano player who was muted in the 19th century. Her family made the move to New Zealand to marry an unplanned husband. At the age of 16 She moved to the United States. Paquin was the main character in Fly Away Home in 1996 and had a minor part as Jane Eyre as an infant. Paquin performed the role of Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. The actress also played the Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa In Almost Famous (2000).
