Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician as well as a composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer for the One Direction band. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he founded his group musical, White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. Even though he had always had an interest in the music world however, despite his love for it he wanted also to become a lawyer and physiotherapist. To support the needs of his children, he worked some time at a bakery. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. The reason for this was that the group split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he be part of a new band called One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in 2010. The group was backed by Simon Cowell. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the most competitive groups in the contest. Despite this, they finished third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell has offered a two million-pound contract for One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
